Needless to say, the movie is one of the primary sources of our entertainment. For years and perhaps generations, movie lovers have been following their favorite director, scriptwriter, and actor to see their upcoming movies. Unfortunately, an unprecedented event in 2020 forces all movie lovers to be patient as release dates of so many movies were pushed to 2021.

However, that only means there must be good news left. Theaters are expected to open in 2021 if the pandemic situation becomes much better. Then, we all can watch our awaited movies how they are supposed to be watched – in the theatrical cinema.

Here are the movies to watch 2021 that we have been waiting for.

 

1. The King’s Man

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the King’s Man film’s release schedule has been postponed to 26th February 2021 from 18th September 2020. After successfully working on the first and second films of Kingsman, Matthew Vaughn became the director of the third film.

Unlike the previous Kingsman films, The King’s Man is set when Kingsman was formed in the First World War so that it won’t feature the character Eggsy.

2. Cruella

Cruella is a famous character among Disney fans. This movie’s genre is crime comedy and is definitely one of the most awaited movies to watch 2021. This movie is based on the character Cruella de Vil in the One Hundred and One Dalmations animated film by Walt Disney. Emma Stone stars the titular character. The movie’s release data should be on 23rd December 2020, but delayed to 28th May 2021.

3. The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It

The Conjuring is one of the most anticipated films by horror film fans. The filming process for the film The Conjuring 3 started in 2019, but the release date has been delayed to 4th June 2021.

The inspiration for The Conjuring 3 comes from the Warren couple and other James Wan film franchises (Annabelle, The Conjuring, and others). The story of this film is the Warren couple who uncovers the horrific terror of murder crimes.

4. Minion: The Rise of Gru

Who doesn’t know the minions? People of any age would love to watch some comedy in this movie. Minion: The Rise of Gru is one of the movies to watch 2021 about Gru himself. At the age of 12, he dreams about becoming the greatest supervillain in the world.

The movie was directed by Kyle Balda (Despicable Me 3, Minions), a returning franchise filmmaker. And is co-directed by Brad Ableson (The Simpsons) and Jonathan del Val (The Secret Life of Pets films). It is announced that this movie will be in theaters on 2nd July 2021.

 

5. The Suicide Squad

The first Suicide Squad film actors became the main attraction in this film, so it is interesting if several actors play roles in the second Suicide Squad film. The first is Margot Robbie with the same character, the famous Harley Quinn. The second one is Viola Davis, who returns as Amanda Waller, a figure who is the key to the squad’s existence.

On the other hand, some new actors are highly anticipated. There is Idris Elba as Bloodsport, John Cena as Peacemaker, Peter Capaldi as The Thinker, and others. The film is scheduled for release on 6th August 2021.

 

6. Haloween Kills

A horror movie fan woud have known Mike Myers. He is the main character of this movie. Halloween Kills is an upcoming 2021 horror sequel film of the movie Haloween. Jamie Lee Curtis is expected to return as Laurie Strode, which made this classic story awaited by fans.

This movie was scheduled to release on 16th October 2020, but again, it is postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The new release date is one full year after the original one: 15th October 2021.
